Rick began his musical career at age 19 when he was signed by Albert’s/EMI as a performer and songwriter. He later moved to the U.K. and enrolled at The Cambridge College of Arts to study for a Dip. Mus. He returned to Australia four years later and set up his first recording studio in Sydney called ‘Honeyfarm’. He composed T.V. program themes, and wrote extensively for the A.B.C and Grundy Television with themes including ‘Four Corners, ‘Foreign Correspondent’, and ‘7.30 Report’ for the A.B.C., and ‘Perfect Match’, ‘It’s A Knockout’, ‘Blankety Blanks’, ‘Family Feud’ and many others for Grundy Television. He moved back to the U.K. in the early nineties to take up a position as musical director for Grundy/Fremantle T.V. productions in London,composing the themes, and acting as M.D., for live shows such as Man O' Man (ITV) and Night Fever (Channel 5). Moving back to Australia in 2002, he returned to song writing, and began writing musicals for children and ‘high-school musicals’ . He is now writing and producing his Magnum Opus, ‘The Candy Club’. |
Cheryl WebbVOCAL ARRANGER & CHOIR-MISTRESS
Cheryl Webb has over 50 years experience in the music industry both here and overseas. She has extensive experience in performance, production, and composition in all genres of the industry. From writing, arranging and composing for Big Bands through to Vocal Groups, recording sessions, teaching, studio development, Cheryl is a force to be reckoned with in the Australian music scene. Alongside her principal instrument of voice, Cheryl is a multi- instrumentalist, listing piano, drums, guitar and flute as part of her skillset. Cheryl has worked on all the major television shows and networks that Australia has broadcast, including Graham Kennedy Show, Mike Walsh Show and Midday with Ray Martin and Carols in the Domain to mention but a few. Having a solid background in the industry, Cheryl was asked to arrange and vocally produce BMG Records number 1 artists, Girlfriend and later created her own teen group signed to Sony Music, Real Blondes, writing all the songs and producing the vocals in her studio in Sydney. |
Jim KellyMUSICIAN AND MASTERING ENGINEER
Jim is a multi talented musician and audio engineer. He plays guitar on several of the songs in the show, and has recorded the vocals on many songs from the show in his own studio.
He also is the all important "Mastering" engineer of the songs: the final part of the recording process after recording and mixing, |
Charlie Hull
MUSICIAN, AND HORNS AND STRINGS ARRANGER
Charlie studied piano and arranging at the Sydney Conservatorium and jazz piano with Roy Maling. He joined the Daly Wilson Big Band as arranger & pianist until his appointment as Musical Director for Marcia Hines in 1979. Charlie was musical coordinator of two albums for Marcia in the U.K. and co-produced the album "Jokers & Queens" for Jon English and Marcia in Australia.
His list of credits as Musical Director and/or Arranger include the premiere stage productions in Australia of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, Dusty The Musical, Saturday Night Fever, Hair, Footloose, Leader Of The Pack, Shout, Oh What A Night, Fame, Jesus Christ Superstar, Burn The Floor, Rasputin, Big Sister and Great Expectations. |

HORNS & STRINGS ARRANGER
Rick has been a professional musician and arranger for over 40 years. He has backed and toured with such artists as Kerrie Biddell, Doug Parkinson, The Drifters and John Rowles; and written for many well-known Australian artists including Ricky May, Daryl Braithwaite and Rhonda Burchmore. He relocated to Queensland in 2009 and currently runs the ‘Sweet Thunder’, a 13 piece jazz orchestra based on the Gold Coast, and writes and arranges extensively for the orchestra. |
